• Question: cancer is a very difficult disease to cure so curing it/helping to cure it would be your main goal but what do you hope to achieve when you go to work every day

      Hi Dozza,

      Great question, and you’re definitely right that it’s really difficult. Each experiment we do gives us a bit more information about how cancer works, some of it we can then use to try and think about making a drug or treatment that will work.

      So everyday I’m just looking at learning a little bit more. Once you’ve done enough of that you can then start to pull all you’ve found together and start to think about targeting what you’ve found with a drug (that bits normally then done by other people).
