      It all depends on what sort of a scientist. All physicists use maths and most scientists have to some statistical analysis on their results and that’s a bit mathematical. Chemists certainly need to calculate concentrations and things like that and so do biologists. The sort of maths you need in general is not particularly advanced and so you really ought to be able to handle it.
      The point is though that if you actually find maths really hard then it’s difficult to imagine that you have a very scientific mind. After all, maths is basically logic and logic is really necessary to do science.
