Depends on what gets taken away! Lots of people don’t have a gall bladder or an appendix, and you can survive without a leg or two, and even one of your kidneys!

If you have a certain body part in mind that you want to know if we could live without, let me know!

I don’t have my appendix anymore, and I’m doing okay.

It’ll very much depend on what you have removed. You can even have small parts of your brain removed and you can survive – but it can also have consequences on personality, memory, imagination etc

Like what? Never had a tooth out?
There’s lots of your body that can be removed, many people live without one of their kidneys, for example. It happens that you have to your appendix out or spleen removed or part of your colon taken away – no real problem. Where you have two organs, one can be removed. Unfortunately, people also lose limbs; that’s tough but you can still live.
However, there are vital organs (e.g., heart, liver, brain, …) without which it’s hard to live – although most can be transplanted – except the brain, but then you wouldn’t be you anymore.
