Yes, my patience! I was never that keen on experiments at school, which is partly why I became a theorist.

I’m really neat and tidy, so I generally know where everything is. One of the people in my lab occasionally borrows stuff and doesn’t put it back in the right place so then it takes me ages to find it.

Tweezers have a habit of going missing around these parts 🙂

I am the clumsiest scientist the world has ever known. I’d loose my head if it wasn’t screwed on! I try to keep things in the right place, but tweezers, pipettes, and tape always seem to go missing. I actually bought some tinfoil as a present to the other group in my lab so that they would stop nicking mine!

I once had a student who made a bit of a mess of my work bench and I couldn’t find anything, so I gave him a little telling off – he thought it was hilarious and started calling me the Hulk. Now whenever I get annoyed people say “HULK MAD!”. The student even bought me a pair of hulk hands!
