I’ve taught a bit, English as a foreign language for three years.
As a student, like most, I used to work in the holidays – boring factory jobs mainly, but I also drove a lorry (not HGV though) and worked as a postman one Christmas.
It’s a good idea to have some experience of different jobs; if nothing else you realise how boring some things can be and so get motivated to better yourself and find something more interesting. Remember, most people work for at least 40 years of their life – that’s an awfully long time to be stuck doing something you don’t enjoy!

I’ve had a million and one jobs! I worked in the fraud department at a bank for a while (which was pretty cool!), and I worked in TenPin as an AlleyCat and party host – I’m pretty good at painting faces and making balloon animals!! And I’ve been a waitress for a while as well!
