• Question: how hard is it being a scientist

      Really hard. There’s a lot of competition; so you have to better than a lot of other people. That means you have to study a lot and be prepared to work very long hours at the start of your career. Then you get used to it and carry on like that and it’s not so hard after a while.
      Still, you have to be very serious and conscientious – if I made a mistake in a calculation someone would find out sooner or later and then everybody would think that I’m not reliable.
