Great question, but one unfortunately I don’t think anyone will ever know the answer to.
The universe is made up of billions of stars, much like our sun, each one will have planets orbiting around it, much like our sun has planets orbiting it. So trying to identify every single star and then how many planets is impossible from so far away.
Every day scientists are finding new planets from starts millions of miles away, and technology improves to make telescopes better. So there are billions of planets in the universe, but sadly I don’t think anyone will ever fully know the exact number – but that’s pretty cool too…
