• Question: is your work dangerous?

      Most of my work isn’t dangerous, but there are parts of it that are. I work a lot with liquid nitrogen which is -196C so we have to be really careful when we’re using that. But we wear protective equipment to make sure we’re as safe as possible.

      No, unless you count the risk of being electrocuted by a short-circuit in my laptop.

      A lot of things can be dangerous if you act carelessly. I work with a few hazardous chemicals, but there are strict safety rules to work by to make sure I don’t harm myself or others.

      I agree with Kerry! So besides all the chemicals that we have strict rules about, my research isn’t too dangerous either.

      I think the most dangerous things I work with are dry ice and the cryostat (a reeeeeally sharp knife that’s kept at -25˚C). But I were protective gear when I’m working with both, so I’ve never had any accidents.
