This is a difficult one, good question! I would probably have to say my PhD research. I worked on understanding the magnetic behaviour of nanowires that could be used in a new form of magnetic memory called racetrack memory (http://researcher.watson.ibm.com/researcher/view_group_subpage.php?id=3811). It was really enjoyable as I was able to spend all of my time on it – now I have a lot of other commitments which mean I don’t get to do research all the time.
