• Question: What activity would you take into schools to show that science is fun?

      I would get the children to act as scientists for a few hours and get them to carry out a few experiments. I mainly study magnetic materials, so I would base the activities on that. I would get them to try to make a magnet levitate (or float), which is good fun. I would also get them to play with ferrofluid (a magnetic liquid), which makes really pretty patterns when you pour it over a magnet. I also want to get children to design a magnetic ball bearing launcher and see if they can discover how to make them travel the furthest! I basically want them to have a fun afternoon of science!
