Captain Correli’s Mandolin. I re-read it every now and then – it’s awesome!

One of the best books I’ve read is Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, which is about a couple who run a travelling carnival business which starts to fail, so they decide to take matters into their own hands and breed their own freak show. They use various drugs and radioactive material to alter the genes of their children, I thought it was fascinating!

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

That’s a tough one: there are lots of books I really liked – I’ve and like everything written by Ian McEwan. The Little Prince mentioned by Theo is also near the top of my list.
I’ll go for “The Old Man and the Sea” by Ernest Hemingway. It’s the battle between and old fisherman and a huge tuna fish – very similar to what we do.
