      Hi cooldude1604,

Big stars explode when they’ve used up all their fuel. Our sun shouldn’t use up all of its fuel for another 7 billion years, but it’s not big enough to explode.

Our sun will turn into a red giant, where it turns red and expands outwards, before collapsing back into itself which is called a white dwarf and will then cool down.
