      Scientists tend to move around a lot as there aren’t that many places in any one country where you can do your particular research. Most university physicists I know have spent a lot of their time in other countries. We also often collaborate with scientists from other parts of the world: I have written papers with English and Italians, but also French, Japanese, Russians, Americans, …
