I’ve wanted to be a scientist since I was 7. Originally I wanted to be a forensic scientist, so someone who solves crime with science as I thought that was really cool. But after my best friend died of cancer I started to do cancer research instead.

As for best thing I’ve found, I was part of a research team making a virus that would only kill cancer cells and leave normal ones alone, so that was pretty amazing!

Basically because I like science and so I was also good at it.
Apart from a ten-pound note in the car park ;^), a few years ago I did some rather hard calculations that no-one had thought of doing before and the results helped us understand something new about how the proton is made of of quarks.
