I like being a scientist because every day brings something new. I always have goals that I’m working towards so it’s awesome when I achieve one of them!!! It beats doing something boring!

I love being a scientist because I get to work on exciting materials that will hopefully change our lives in the future. I also love my job because I don’t sit at a computer all day – I spend a lot of time either in the lab or on a microscope doing experiments. I also do quite a bit of teaching, which I also really enjoy. I think it’s a great job!

I love knowing that each time I do an experiment I’m the first person to have ever done it, and every time I get a result I’m the first person to know that bit about the world. That’s pretty cool!
