      Well plants convert CO2 into oxygen, so they are basically recycling the air that we breathe out. I think the main concern for the world running out of oxygen lies with the volumes of forests we’re cutting down!
      If plants are providing the oxygen we breathe, then we definitely need to stop getting rid of them!
      That said, I don’t think we’re in any real danger of running out of oxygen, not any time soon!

      If by our pollution, cutting down of rain-forests and generally allowing desertification, we remove too many plants, then yes. The oxygen in the air is continually replenished by the plant life all over the Earth. While there are plants there will be oxygen, without them no.
